Official statement on CAPP (Cappasity) token markets suspension

Dear traders,

We’ve become aware of some suspicious activities on one of our markets and wanted to let you know about the steps we’re taking in response.

At HitBTC we believe that a trading platform should not only provide an impressive choice of trading tools, it should also sustain lively states of all its markets, taking care of users’ safety. We see our goal in providing order and proper supervision of all our markets.

We regularly take necessary measures to keep up with our high standards of safety and security. From the moment a currency is listed on HitBTC and markets launched, we continuously track activities on these markets and closely communicate with coins’ and tokens’ developers. This provides protection against market manipulation attempts and similar fraudulent actions.

HitBTC security department has detected suspicious trading activity on one of our markets (CAPP) and due to the heightened risks of insider trading actions, all CAPP markets has been closed. Unfortunately, as for now the CAPP team’s response regarding the issue has not been satisfying and the CAPP team has failed to act in accord with the standards of professional communication. However, the investigation is ongoing and no final conclusions have been made.

We take these matters very seriously and in order to protect our users from malicious activities we have decided to suspend all further CAPP trading. Three months after delisting, CAPP will be removed from the Account pages. All further withdrawals will be handled manually via support. Until 29th of March, you can withdraw CAPP tokens automatically from your account page.

We apologise for any inconvenience this causes, but hope you understand that this is a necessary step to safeguard the quality of our service and protect our users.

Respectfully,

HitBTC
