In order to comply with the KYC/AML standards, HitBTC uses a status-based policy for all its users. HitBTC has 3 main statuses for all its clients: General, Verified and Qualified, each subject to its own limits and rules.
The General status is the basic status a user receives when he signs-up to HitBTC's services. The status allows you to operate only in cryptocurrencies accepted by HitBTC. For a complete list please see the Fees & Limits page. Under particular circumstances, certain users may be subject to limits on cryptocurrencies.
3.1 Limits
The Verified Status is granted to users who wish to operate with EUR, USD and GBP currencies. The status gives you the following limits:

4.1 Process to obtain the Verified Status
4.1.1 Adding your first Bank Account & Obtain the Verified Status
To obtain the verified status, a user has to undergo the following steps:
Click "Get Verified Status" on the account page
Enter the requested information inside the form
Upload the documents requested by the form (Passport and/or national ID and a bank account statement where your domiciled address is shown)
Wait for approval of your account by our Compliance Department
Once our compliance manager has approved your account, you must make a deposit before you can use your account for withdrawals.
4.1.2 Adding subsequent bank accounts
In case you wish to add an additional account, the process is as follows:
Click "Add a bank Account" on the account page
Enter the details of your new account analogously to section 4.1.1 of this document
Wait for our Compliance Department to approve your account
Once our compliance department has approved your account, you must make a deposit before you can use your account for withdrawals.
4.1.3 Important Notice
If you have funding information for an account approved by our Compliance Department, do not use it to fund your HitBTC account from
Accounts that you have not registered on HitBTC
Accounts you have registered but which are pending approval from our Compliance Department.
In all such cases, your payment will be returned.
4.2 How limits are calculated
If you are withdrawing in multiple currencies or you are using multiple bank accounts, please be aware of the following:
Limits are cumulative
Limits are calculated across all currencies
Limits are applied to your bank accounts as a group
5.1 Limits
The Qualified Status is granted to users who wish to operate with fiat accepted by HitBTC and would like increased limits. The status gives you the following basic limits, which can be reviewed upon a user's request once a user is granted the Qualified Status:

6.1 Process to obtain the Qualified status
6.1.1 Obtaining the status
To obtain the Qualified status, a user must have been previously granted the Verified status, and must also complete the following additional steps
Click "Get Qualified Status" on the account page
Enter the requested information inside the form
Upload the documents requested by the form (Certified (notarized) copy of National (travel) Passport, a proof of residence and an original letter from the bank for at least one of your bank accounts)
Wait for approval of your account by our Compliance Department
An original letter from the bank is an A4 or Letter formatted printed letter containing your full name, your personal ID data (used to open this account), the account number and a signed by a bank representative along with the bank's coordinates (the bank's address and branch code).
Once our compliance department has approved your account, you must make a deposit before you can use your account for withdrawals.
6.1.2 Adding subsequent bank accounts & increasing limits for existing accounts
In case you wish to add an additional account or increase the limit for an existing account that has not yet been verified please follow the following steps:
Click "Add a bank Account" (in case of a new account) or "Make Account Qualified" (for an existing account) on the account page
Enter the details of your new account and upload an original letter from the bank for this account (if you are upgrading an existing account you only need to upload the original letter from the bank)
Wait for our Compliance Department to approve your account
Once our compliance department has approved your account, you must make a deposit before you can use your account for withdrawals.
6.1.3 Important Notice
If you have funding information for an account approved by our Compliance Department, do not use it to fund your HitBTC account from
